Welcome

Darcy - President

Darcy is proud of her western North Dakota roots – growing up on the family ranch with three older brothers made her the independent businessperson that she is today. Her professionalism is tinted with a sharp sense of humor and quick wit.

Having started out in the dental field, first as a dental assistant and then became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Darcy quickly discovered that her skills lie in the business world. Using those talents, she built a temporary employment agency that specialized in dental personnel – working with dental professionals throughout North Dakota and western Minnesota for over 10 years.

Give Darcy a challenge and she will thrive – and so, she started a new and unique venture. In 1995, PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. became the first professional employer organization (PEO) in North Dakota. Soon after, she formed Overland Payroll, Inc., an administrative services organization and HR outsourcing firm.

Ongoing education and training are the fundamentals of her success. Darcy became licensed in life and health insurance, first in North Dakota and then Minnesota. The next challenge became getting her PHR certification (Professional in Human Resources) – many large companies require this credential for executives in their HR departments.

In addition to her above certifications, Darcy is active in the West Fargo Area Chamber of Commerce – serving on the Board of Directors for 8 years. She is also active in Fargo Moorhead Human Resource Association (FMHRA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Bowman Chamber of Commerce, and Business Network International.

Darcy lives in West Fargo with her husband Todd. They have one daughter and son-in-law and now have the delight of one granddaughter! Darcy enjoys reading and working on “projects” with Todd. One quote that sums up Darcy’s personality is by Thomas Edison, “I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun”.

Todd - Vice President

Todd began working at PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. in September 2003. Darcy had decided that this “child” of hers had grown to the point where additional staff was needed. Since Todd was anxious for a change from the design/engineering industry, Darcy hired the first (only) applicant for the job!

Todd is active in the legal and legislative issues that involve the PEO industry. During the legislative session, he makes numerous trips to Bismarck allowing our clients the opportunity for direct input on issues relating to employment. Not only is Todd our government expert, he is also our authority on purchasing, collections, marketing, as well as building/grounds and IT maintenance.

Public relations and delivering the payroll packets are the favorite parts of his job – he loves to visit with our clients and employees! The personal touch of delivering payroll allows him to attend to their needs on a regular basis.

Nancy - Payroll Specialist

Nancy is the lead in the payroll department at PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. She is the expert when it comes to answering questions relating to payroll. In addition, she completes the enrollment of new employees and handles the administration of payroll taxes and withholding.

Nancy received her computer operations certificate from NDSCS. She has over 20 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience at various manufacturing companies and has become a key asset at PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. Nancy is a member of the Bison Chapter of the American Payroll Association.

When not at work, Nancy enjoys walking, gardening and being with family. She has served in various volunteer positions and committees for church and school. Nancy and her husband Brent live in rural West Fargo. They have two (nearly) grown sons, Daniel and Russell.

Rebekah - Human Resources Specialist

Rebekah joined PAYROLL EXPRESS, INC. in August of 2009 as our Human Resources Specialist. Rebekah grew up in Devils Lake, ND. She attended NDSU and received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. She began working for Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch-Residential Treatment Programs in 2001. She worked closely with at-risk youth and soon became an Assistant Manager. Rebekah quickly saw that she enjoyed assisting the organization with their employee needs such as interviewing, employee orientation, conducting performance reviews, and employee relations.

Her interests in Human Resources led to obtaining her Masters degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Mary, Fargo in 2007. Following graduation Rebekah accepted a position as Human Resources Manager within a corporate retail environment. She was able to gain valuable experience in all areas of personnel management. This included; recruitment and retention, benefits administration, payroll, training and development, and safety and risk management

Rebekah is an active member of the local FMHRA chapter where she held a position on the board as the Professional Development Representative. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Rebekah resides in West Fargo, ND with her husband Eric and their newborn daughter Madelyn. When not working, Rebekah enjoys golfing, reading, and spending time with her family.
